Since October 2022, there has no longer been an obligation to wear a medical protective mask at German airports or on board German airlines (e.g. Lufthansa). Masks are still compulsory in public transport (e.g. trains and local transport)..
Entry into Mexico
Mexico has not closed the country's borders at any time since the outbreak of the corona pandemic. At present, neither certificates of health nor a corona test result are required upon entry (by air). Travelers do not have to go into quarantine.
Departure from Mexico / re-entry to Germany

The Corona travel protection must be taken out immediately upon booking, but no later than 30 days before the start of the journey. If there are less than 30 days between the booking of the trip and the start of the trip, the travel insurance must be taken out no later than the 3rd working day (Monday to Saturday) after the travel booking.
**** Valid in the event that you are tested positive for Corona with a PCR test 72 hours or less before departure and you therefore have to cancel the trip for yourself and / or other travel participants. The cancellation must be made within 10 hours of a positive test result.
